As His Eminence Cardinal Thomas Collins enters his final days before retirement as Archbishop of Toronto, there are two upcoming Masses where he will preside.

On Friday, March 17 at 10 a.m. at St. Michael’s Cathedral Basilica, the annual Mass of St. Patrick will take place with Cardinal Collins as principal celebrant and homilist.  All are welcome to attend in person at 65 Bond Street in Toronto. For those who are unable to attend, you are welcome to follow the livestream at http://stmichaelscathedral.com/live or on the Cathedral Basilica and archdiocesan social media channels.

Two days later, on Sunday, March 19 at 12:00 p.m., Cardinal Collins will celebrate his final Sunday Mass as Archbishop of Toronto at St. Michael’s Cathedral Basilica. All are welcome to attend this Mass in person, and there will be a small reception for those in attendance to greet and thank His Eminence after Mass.

His Eminence will then be present at the Mass of Installation of Archbishop-designate Francis Leo the following Saturday, March 25 at 10 a.m. on the Solemnity of the Annunciation of the Lord.

Cardinal Collins was ordained to the priesthood in 1973, named bishop in 1997, installed as Archbishop of Toronto in 2007 before being elevated to the College of Cardinals in 2012. He previously served as Bishop of Saint Paul, Alberta and Archbishop of Edmonton, Alberta before coming to Toronto. In his retirement, Cardinal Collins will continue to reside in the Archdiocese of Toronto. We give thanks to God for his faithful years of inspiring service as our shepherd and spiritual father.
